We are seeking a pro-active individual to take on a Project Coordinator role within the Education department. The role administers the IOP Initial Teacher Training Scholarships programme, working within a team responsible for supporting physics teacher training and teacher retention.

The Role

This is an exciting role, working closely with scholarship candidates as they progress through the application process together, with managing assessment days and events for existing scholars.

Responsibilities include:

·         Managing the scholarship selection process including all administrative procedures

·         Coordinating all communications with potential applicants, candidates and scholars

·         Managing candidate assessment days

·         Providing feedback to unsuccessful candidates

·         Managing supertrip and masterclass events for scholars

·         Liaising with the Initial Teaching Training providers and the Department for Education

The Person

We are looking for someone with significant project coordination experience.  A confident administrator who is capable of managing a complex workload with a high degree of accuracy. You will have strong communication and interpersonal skills and be able to deal with wide range of people in a tactful and sensitive manner. An excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel is essential.
