We are seeking a proactive, creative thinker to join our Wales Outreach and Engagement programme as an Engagement Officer.

The role

This is an exciting role that will be responsible for:

  • Implementing a programme of public engagement in Wales, aligning this work with the Institute’s strategy
  • Working closely with the IOP Wales committee to help them achieve their objectives and maintain alignment with the Institute’s strategy
  • Organising events, coordinating volunteers, managing logistics and developing new outreach and engagement activities

The Person

We are looking for a proactive and dependable team player to join us as Engagement Officer. The ideal candidate may have a degree in sciences or equivalent professional experience. You should also be computer literate, including a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

You should have excellent organisational skills and the ability to positively communicate with others. You will have excellent written and oral communication skills and experience working in science communication. You will be driven for results, taking responsibility for managing and measuring your work. You will need to be dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of all customers and partners.
