Could you be our new Head of Media and PR?

This is an exciting role for a skilled and senior media and PR professional who will thrive in a dynamic and ambitious organisation and relish the opportunity to take forward the IOP’s media and social media function, working collaboratively with the IOP’s communications, marketing and digital teams as part of a new integrated and strategic approach to communications.

The person

We are looking for a superb Head of Media & PR who can lead the development of IOP’s media and PR and social media function and increase our media presence. They will lead and inspire their team, support colleagues and internal ‘clients’ and provide expert advice on media and PR issues to ensure our media activity supports our strategy and protects our reputation.

Working from our new flagship King’s Cross offices, at the heart of the exciting ‘Knowledge Quarter’ our communications teams will take our strategic messages to opinion-former, member and public audiences and help engage the public in the debate about key global challenges. From raising awareness of our ground-breaking education, diversity, science and innovation programmes, developing our role as a trusted commentator, amplifying our policy engagement or helping spread the word about physics and its value with the public, this is an exciting time to join IOP.
