We are seeking an insight driven Marketing Executive to lead the management and development of marketing campaigns, plans and activities for recruiting physics teachers into Initial Teacher Education (ITE), working with external stakeholders to achieve recruitment objectives.

The role

This is an exciting role for a marketer with strong communications and project management skills. The post holder will be accountable for developing and maintaining ITE marketing activities for the Education department’s ITE programme with some travel involved (around 5 to 10 days per year). The post holder will have responsibility for the IOP Initial Teacher Training Scholarships marketing plan and maintaining the marketing communications resources for identified target audiences including ITE tutors, and prospective teachers. As Marketing Executive, you will encourage and facilitate the marketing of ITE courses working with external partners, you will oversee the running of campus based recruitment activities at a variety of sites such as the School Experience Programme (SEP) which links prospective teachers to schools that can offer school experience before they apply for ITE.

You will offer marketing insight and advice to the wider Education department over a wide range of projects as appropriate and in collaboration with the wider comms and marketing department.

The Person

We are looking for a talented marketer with a track record of developing and delivering marketing activities, plans and projects that deliver within brand guidelines. The successful candidate will have experience of effectively using website CMS alongside excellent written and verbal communication skills and be able to write engaging, concise, accurate copy and content. Strong interpersonal skills are key and it is important to be able to communicate effectively and positively with others to foster the development of a common vision.
