Physics has a vital role to play in tackling issues such as climate change and improved healthcare, as well as making the UK and Ireland fit for a new industrial era of science, technology and engineering.

If you're as passionate as we are in “unlocking the future”, then join us. We are seeking a project coordinator to join our Science and Innovation team to work on high impact projects that stimulate debate on matters important to the physics community.

The Role

The role will work on a range of projects focussed on emerging technologies, sectors and issues that engage partners and the community to advance physics and its application. The role will work with colleagues in the science and innovation department and the wider IOP team, as well as provide administrative support for the team and particularly the Head of Science and Innovation. The role will also work with senior members of the physics community in business and academia

The Person

You will have experience in coordinating projects, with administration skills or practical experience of working in a customer facing role.

The role needs a results driven candidate who is a good communicator, and collaborative, with excellent organisational skills, and experience in managing complex dairies and multiple projects. The role  will involve capturing information and evidence to underpin project work. The role is ideal for a dynamic team player who wants to develop their administration and coordination skills across a range of projects.
