We are seeking proactive team players with experience of providing professional support to teachers to join the Future Physics Leaders project.

Fixed term contract until March 2019

The role

This is an exciting role that will require the post holder to work with teachers to improve standards in areas of the country that have been identified as most in need of support.

Responsibilities include:

  • Working with schools to develop a programme of CPD and support
  • Developing and leading physics CPD sessions and events for teachers of physics
  • Providing support and subject-specific mentoring for early-career teachers of physics
  • Recruiting schools to the project as required

The person

We are looking for a proactive and dependable team players to join the FPL project as Development Coaches. It is essential that you have experience of teaching physics in schools or colleges to a high standard. You will also have experience of providing professional support to teachers and should have evidence to support this.

You should have great leadership skills and be able to work with minimal supervision. This includes good prioritisation skills and the ability to multi-task. It is important that you have negotiation and influencing skills for your work with teachers and senior leadership teams.
