The role
This is an exciting role that will be responsible for
- Developing and delivering new public engagement and outreach activities
- Developing relationships and partnerships with community groups
- Ensuring effective communications
- Requires working outside and some weekends, as well as the occasional overnight stay
- Supporting science communicators

The Person
We are looking for a proactive and dependable team player to join us as a Public Engagement Officer. The ideal candidate will have a degree in physics or equivalent professional experience. You should also be computer literate, including a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
You should have excellent organisational skills and the ability to positively communicate with others. You will have excellent written and oral communication skills and experience working in science communication. You will be driven for results, taking responsibility for managing and measuring your work. You will need to be dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of all customers and partners.
A relevant qualification in science communication would be beneficial but is not essential.
