The role

This is a varied and exciting role that will see the postholder working closely with the Corporate Communications Manager, the wider communications and marketing team, and with teams across the organisation in support of the IOP’s strategy and communications needs. In collaboration with colleagues and stakeholders, the Corporate Communications Officer will contribute to IOP’s projects and activities working with the team and with internal ‘clients’ and will develop and contribute to communications plans as part of an integrated  approach to communications and marketing.

The job holder will write and edit messages and communications copy for a range of audiences including staff, members and the public and advise on the best way to ensure our messages reach our audiences.

The person

Are you a skilled communications all-rounder with superb writing and interpersonal skills?

We are looking for a talented communications professional with a proven track record of developing and delivering creative, effective communications activity and plans that engage our stakeholders, members and staff. You must be a skilled writer with excellent attention to detail and the ability to express complex information in plain and engaging English.

You will need to be confident and effective at dealing with stakeholders at all levels and enjoy working collaboratively with the IOP’s communications, marketing and digital teams to take forward our new integrated and strategic approach to communications.
