We are seeking an ambitious and visionary leader with an interest in and commitment to teacher professionalism to join our Education department as Head of Programme (Teacher Professional Support).

 

The role

This is an exciting role that will require leading and managing the Education Department’s portfolio of funded teacher development programmes, varying from primary to further education. Specifically, this role will lead the work of four distinct funding streams and coordinating programme delivery with strategic goals. The role holder will also be required to develop new projects and deputise for the Head of Education as required.

  • Management and reporting
  • Liaison and representation

The Person

We are looking for a reliable and proactive individual with leadership experience to join our Education team as a Head of Programme (Teacher Professional Support). The successful candidate will be an effective team player with a strategic approach to planning and organising complex, long-term projects.

You will have a proven ability of managing people and projects and a secure knowledge of the education landscape, especially related to teacher professional development. You must have proven ability to lead teams, including remote workers. You need to be an excellent communicator, with the ability to communicate with a wide range of colleagues including senior members of staff, partners and funding organisations. You will also be passionate about the importance of an excellent education in physics.
